Dictation
The keyboard sits right in the middle of the exam. HeyVet listens to what the vet says, separates measurements from notes, and waits for your approval before writing to the record.
During the exam, hands on the patient. When there are two voices in the room they are separated: the history told by the owner, the findings and decisions spoken by the vet.
“Melo has been vomiting for three days” → history · “temperature 39.4” → physical exam
The measurement dictionary learns the clinic's own wording. The catalogue may say “ovariohysterectomy” while the vet says “I spayed her”; the match is defined once and recognised everywhere after that.
“fever 39.8” → body temperature · “CRT 3” → capillary refill
Every extracted line waits in a holding area and leaves it only by a human decision. If it's wrong, it's corrected and approved; the system also keeps what you corrected.
A rejected suggestion becomes feedback for the model instead of silently disappearing
Why does speaker separation matter?
The AI does not diagnose.
The exam is starting…
Transcribing what was said; every extracted line will wait for approval.
Sample scenario — not a real patient record. The sentences and extractions come from the exam example in the design document.
No line is written to the record without approval. Who approved it and when is recorded; if it was corrected, what the model said is kept too.

About HeyVet
Still have a question? [email protected]
HeyVet is a digital consultation, case sharing and patient follow-up platform built for veterinarians. In short, it works like a “knowledge and communication network for vets”.
It lets veterinarians get fast support from specialist academics or specialist colleagues on difficult cases in their own clinics. It can be used via the mobile app and the web. It offers consultation, case sharing, reporting, webinars and sponsor-supported scientific content.
It includes an AI-assisted assistant called HeyVet-AI; but it always works with specialist approval and never decides on its own.
Membership: The veterinarian signs up in the app.
Case sharing: They upload a clinical case with photos, X-rays, lab results and more.
Consultation: Academics assigned in the app answer incoming questions according to their availability.
Reporting: A PDF report in HeyVet format can be created for every case.
In short, HeyVet gives veterinarians fast access to knowledge, support for accurate diagnosis and treatment, professional solidarity and education, and technology that is easy to use.
No. Every extracted line waits in an approval queue and moves to the record only with the vet's approval. Who approved a line and when is recorded; if it was corrected, what the model said is kept too.
No. Its job is to separate each spoken sentence by finding the field it belongs to: history, physical exam, treatment given, prescription, vaccination schedule. The definitive diagnosis is entered by the vet.
Yes. The system never adds an unknown phrase to the catalogue on its own — it lands in a queue as a candidate and enters the pool once approved in the panel. No term is written to the catalogue without approval.
There is an import wizard: the file is uploaded, columns are mapped, conflicts are resolved on screen, the import runs as a batch and can be undone if it goes wrong. Dictation only makes sense with a filled history — to say “Melo's vaccine is 12 days overdue” it needs to see that data.
On the server for now. An on-premise solution running inside the clinic is on the roadmap.
Veterinarians, veterinary doctors (PhD) and students. Sign-up requires approval: no account is opened before the diploma is reviewed. Pet owner sign-up is not on this page — it is on the HeyPaw side and needs no approval.
